WILBURTON — Continuing play in the Eastern Division of the Bi-State Athletic Conference, both Northeastern A&M basketball teams tackle Eastern State College tonight in the C.C. Dunlap Fieldhouse.

Coach Jim Rowland's Lady Norse battle the Lady Mountaineers at 6 p.m. After dropping a 68-63 decision to the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith on Saturday, the Lady Norse are 1-1 in the Bi-State East and 17-5 overall.

Longtime head coach Andy Mace has guided the Lady Mountaineers to a 9-12 season record and a 0-1 mark in the Bi-State East. The Lady Mountaineers dropped an 77-50 decision to Connors State on Saturday in Warner.

“Both Dustin (Grover) and I know how hard it is to go all the way down there and win,” Rowland said. “It doesn’t matter what their records are because they’ll be ready to play us on their home court.”

Coach Dustin Grover’s Golden Norsemen square off against the Mountaineers at 8 p.m.

Following a 79-73 victory over the UAFS Lions on Saturday, the Golden Norse are 1-1 in the Bi-State East and 14-9 on the season.

Second year head coach Brenton Duncan’s Mountain-eers are 3-14 on the season and 0-1 in the conference. The Mountaineers dropped an 85-80 decision at Connors on Saturday.

“We’re going to do the same thing to Eastern that we did to Fort Smith,” Grover said. “Press them the entire first half and evaluate it at halftime and make some adjustments if we need to. We want our best lineup on the floor in the second half”
