FAIRLAND - Welch remained unbeaten thanks to a 5-1 victory over Fairland in a Lucky 7 Conference softball game here Monday.

Welch overcame three errors to chalk up its 13th straight victory.

Winning pitcher Kalleigh Chrz struck out 10 and walked one over seven innings.

The Lady Wildcats jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the second inning on Jordan Amos' leadoff home run.

Welch picked up another run in the fourth when Amos reached on an error, went to second on a wild pitch, third on a passed ball and scored on Katy McClurg's single.

Fairland spoiled Chrz' bid for a shutout in the bottom of the seventh.
