Claremore Red rolled to a 15-5 victory over Miami in the championship game of an American Legion 3A baseball regional at Joe Pollock Field.
Miami, which had suffered a 6-5 loss to Claremore in an eight-inning opener on Friday, bounced back on Saturday to notch a 7-5 decision against Skiatook.
Claremore then needed just five innings to eliminate Post 147, which had won the state title a year ago.
In the championship game, each team scored twice in the first inning, then Claremore took the lead for good with a five-run rally in the top of the second.
The Spoonbills narrowed the gap to 7-4 with a pair of runs in the home half of the second thanks to a two-run homer by Brett Abell.
Claremore scratched out single runs in the third and fourth to open up an 8-4 advantage.
Post 147 got its final run in the bottom of the fourth. Johnathan Brice reached and scored on a sacrifice fly by Abell.
Claremore broke the game open with a six-run rally in the fifth frame.
Three of Post 147's hits were for extra bases: the homer by Abell and a double each by Matt Walker and Nick Henson.
Steve Harmon had two doubles while Travis Stafford and Matt Davis had two singles each.
Andrew Allen was tagged with the loss. Spencer Neal and Walker finished up.
Miami 7, Skiatook 5
Post 147 spotted Skiatook a 4-1 lead only to come roaring back.
Miami got a single run in the second, scored twice in the third and took the lead in the third with a two-run rally.
Skiatook got its final run in the bottom of the sixth. Miami - which was the visitor in the game - created the final score with two tallies in the top of the seventh.
Allen had a double and single while Walker chipped in with a pair of singles.
Henson, Ethan Wilson, Spencer Neal and Zack Clark chipped in with a single each.
Abell picked up the victory, taking over for Henson in the fourth.
