GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. Central District champion Seminole State College suffered two straight losses to be eliminated from the National Junior College Athletic Association Junior College World Series at Suplizio Field.

With the losses, the defending Region II Champion Trojans finished 40-19 on the year.

Seminole opened the tournament Saturday with an 11-8 loss to the Cowley County Community College Tigers of Arkansas City, Kan.

The Trojans were eliminated in five innings on Sunday with a 16-6 loss to Middle Georgia College.

Cowley County, under the direction of former Vinita High School product Dave Burroughs, dropped a 10-9 decision to Santa Fe, Fla., on Monday to finish with a 48-13 season mark.
