INOLA — A blocked punt and fumble were returned for first-quarter touchdowns as Inola coasted to a 43-0 win against Wyandotte here Friday, Sept. 14.

It was the first loss in three non-district games for the Bears.

This was the first time Wyandotte had been shut out in a game since Week 9 of the 2014 season — 49-0 at Nowata.

A blocked Austin Hammers punt was recovered in the end zone for a touchdown just 1:43 into the game.

The Longhorns got touchdown passes of 48 and 19 yards from Landen Prows to Wyatt Oliver, then a fumble by Justin Campbell was returned 52 yards by Kaleb Aguila to make it 29-0.

Inola bumped the lead to 36-0 with a 58-yard TD pass from Prows to Dalton Norman with 4:36 left in the half.

The Longhorns’ final score came on a 58-yard run.

Inola generated 354 yards in total offense, including 218 on the ground.

Campbell was 7-of-17 for the Bears, netting 65 yards.

He also was the only Bear back to finish with positive yardage, netting 57 yards on 17 carries.

Hammer, Zach Garrett and Ethan McLaughin combined for minus-22 yards on 21 attempts.

Jackson Brecheisen was on the receiving end of three of Campbell’s completions, netting 56 yards.

Helawa Williams and Wade Brown each caught a pass for 15 and 7 yards

Garrett logged three receptions for minus-1 yard.

Prows completed five of nine passes for 136 yards and three scores.
