KETCHUM — Afton dropped a pair of fast pitch softball games to Ketchum and Colcord Monday, Sept. 10.

The Lady Eagles dropped a 4-3 decision to Ketchum then fell 5-2 against Colcord.

Ketchum 4, Afton 3

The Lady Eagles grabbed a 1-0 lead in the top of the first, but Ketchum took the lead for good by scoring twice in the bottom of the first.

The Lady Warriors made it 3-1 in the second and tacked on a single run in the fifth.

Afton got its final two runs in the sixth and seventh.

Layne Hudson had two singles and Taylie Burrow, Clarissa Rice, Sidney Huddleston and Tomi Betz all had a base hit.

Alli Simmons tripled and Rondey Cutsinger and Abby Ramos contributed singles for Ketchum.

Colcord 5, Afton 2

The Lady Eagles carried a 2-0 lead into the bottom of the third, when Ketchum scored three times.

It got the final two runs in the sixth.

Burrow had a triple, Hudson a double and Rice a single for the Lady Eagles.

Summer Tuell had all three of Ketchum’s hits with a double and two singles.
