MIAMI — Northeastern Oklahoma A&M offensive coordinator Andrew Rice was suspended for the Saturday, Sept. 8 game with Georgia Military College for what school officials called a “rules violation.”
“Right now, we are doing an internal investigation on the deal,” head coach Zach Allen said following NEO’s 14-10 victory. “We will have an official comment when we know everything.”
Offensive line coach Mason Y’Barbo and running backs coach Jonathan Russell called plays for the Golden Norse in the game.
Allen said Rice, in his first year at NEO, would be back at work Sunday, Sept. 9, as the Norsemen prepare for their Saturday, Sept. 15 game against Trinity Valley (Texas) Community College at Red Robertson Field.
It’s the Southwest Junior College Football Conference opener for the Golden Norse.
