COFFEYVILLE, Kan. — Northeastern Oklahoma A&M fell to defending national champion Coffeyville (Kansas) Community College then won their next three matches in the Coffeyville Tournament.

NEO, ranked 20th in the NJCAA Division II poll, fell to the host Lady Ravens 3-1 then beat the Ottawa (Kansas) University JV, 3-0; Neosho County (Kansas) Community College, 3-2; and Independence (Kansas) Community College, 3-0.

Against Division II No. 1 Coffeyville (14-0), the Lady Norse (8-6) won the first set 25-22, but fell 20-25, 15-25 and 22-25 in the next three.

NEO swept Ottawa 25-17, 25-21 and 25-19 and Independence, 25-13, 25-19 and 25-15.

NEO lost the first set against Neosho County, 25-24, then came back to win the next two by 25-17 and 25-20 scores.

The Lady Panthers took the fourth set 26-24, but Northeastern A&M won the tiebreaker, 15-11.
