Jenni Jennings had a three-hit shutout as Quapaw topped Wyandotte 2-0 Tuesday, Aug. 28.
That gave the Lady Wildcats a split in their District 2A-8 home-and-home series.
The Lady Bears won the opener on Monday, Aug. 27, 10-7.
Wyandotte the loss was the first in district play for the Lady Bears. They are 6-1 in the district (tied for second) and 11-3 overall.
Quapaw (10-6) is fourth at 6-3.

Two of the Lady Bears’ three errors gave Quapaw both of its runs.
Quapaw left eight runners stranded and the Lady Bears left only three aboard.
Jennings fanned six and walked none while allowing three hits: singles by Kaitlyn Hawkins, Haley Hart and Jennelle Lundien.
Quapaw got both of its runs in the fifth inning.
Karissa Anderson had a single for the Lady Cats’ only hit.
Wyandotte 10, Quapaw 7
Hawkins had four hits, including two for extra bases, as Wyandotte won Monday’s game.
The Lady Bears set the tone early by jumping out to a 4-0 lead in the first inning.
They picked up an additional five runs in third and got their 10th in the fifth.
Quapaw scored three times in the third and four in the bottom of the seventh on a two-run single by Jenna Kerley, a steal of home by Shea Ottesen and a grounder to second by Anderson.
The Lady Wildcats left runners stranded at second and third.
Losing pitcher Jenni Jennings had 10 strikeouts.
Hawkins — WHS’ leadoff hitter — was 4-for-5 with a double, triple, two singles, three runs scored and two RBIs for the Lady Bears.
Tarrah Stephens had a double and single, Hart, Ally Bartley, Gracie Turner and Jillian Swanger logged two singles each, and Lundien chipped in with a single.
The Quapaw offense included two singles from Jenna Kerley and one each from Mya Nichols, Gracie Crawford and Mallory Blackfox.
