CHANUTE, Kan. — Getting all three of their goals in the second half, Northeastern Oklahoma A&M rallied for a 3-2 men’s soccer win over Neosho County Community College here Saturday, Aug. 25.

Eduardo Carvalho gave Neosho County a 1-0 lead with a penalty kick at 19:04 of the first half.

The Norsemen (1-1) got on the board with 30:49 remaining on a penalty kick by Victor Arias.

Angel Avalos assisted by Arias scored NEO’s second goal with 23:11 remaining, then Avalos hit the back of the net with an unassisted goal with 11:22 left.

The Panthers’ other goal was scored by Renan Santos with an assist from Alonzo Mata at the 67:00 mark.

The Norsemen travel to Coffeyville (Kansas) Community College on Tuesday, Aug. 28, and then remain on the road Sunday, Sept. 2 for a match in Sedalia, Missouri, against State Fair Community College.
