Despite heavy rain overnight and this morning — 1.95 inches over the past 24 hours — several teams are pushing ahead with their scrimmages tonight.
Miami will host Locust Grove and Dewey in a three-way on the artificial turf at Red Robertson Field that starts at 6:30 p.m.
Commerce coach Steve Moss said the Tigers’ scrimmage has been moved to Chelsea.
Also, Wyandotte will go up against Colcord at Locust Grove. It originally had been scheduled for Colcord.
Fairland now will travel to Chouteau.

The scrimmage wraps up with 12-minute quarters for the three teams, Miami vs. Locust Grove, Dewey vs. Locust Grove and Miami vs. Dewey.
This will be the only chance for the Wardogs to shake things down since they have passed on a second scrimmage to play a Week Zero game at Claremore Sequoyah on Friday, Aug. 24.
There will be no admission charged, but liquid laundry detergent, liquid bleach, white towels or monetary donations will be accepted.
Afton and Quapaw start at 6 p.m. and it’s also a “soap and towel” scrimmage.
The Wildcats also will play Week Zero, facing the Seneca JV at 6 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 27.
There also will be a 6 p.m. start for Wyandotte’s scrimmage at Colcord and the Chouteau-Fairland dress rehearsal.
Second-week scrimmages include Kansas at Fairland, Commerce at Wyandotte, Welch at Regent Prep and Bluejacket at Foyil.
