Wyandotte swept Fairland in a home-and-home District 2A-8 fast-pitch softball series.
The Lady Bears claimed a 12-8 win Monday, Aug. 13, at Fairland, then rolled 13-3 on Tuesday, Aug. 13 at Wyandotte.

A sacrifice fly by Lundien drove in Hawkins with the Lady Bear’s 13th tally, kicking in the run rule.
Wyandotte was up 3-0 only to have the Lady Owls tie the game in the top of the fifth inning.
WHS took charge with a seven-run burst in the fifth.
A two-run single by Hart keyed the Lady Bears’ big inning.
Hawkins was Wyandotte’s offensive leader with a double and two singles. Hart had three singles.
Gracie Turner finished with two singles.
Lundien, Makinze Powell and Ally Bartley each had a double and Karsyn Severs chipped in with a single.
Davis delivered a double and single for Fairland.
Alexis McGranahan doubled and Scott Mayfield and Triplett each had a base hit.
Wyandotte 12, Fairland 8
First baseman Katelyn Hawkins went 5-for-6, with a two-run home run in the second inning and four RBIs.
While Wyandotte led 5-4 after two innings, the Lady Bears never could put Fairland away.
Wyandotte picked up a run in the fourth then scored four in the sixth and a final two in the seventh inning.
The Lady Owls were within two runs in the third after scoring twice, but didn’t score again until the bottom of the seventh.
Jennelle Lundien picked up a double and two singles for WHS, which also received a double and single from Tarrah Stephens and two singles each by Ally Bartley and Jillian Swanger. Haley Hart doubled.
Fairland had two home runs in the game.
Kyndall Davis had a three-run shot in the second inning and Morgan Chaney added a two-run blast in the seventh.
Grace Goins had two singles while Makynzi Jones, Alexis Boyd and Lily Triplett each had a single.
The Lady Bears’ Gracie Turner logged six strikeouts and walked two.
Jordan Gates fanned eight, but walked six for Fairland.
