QUAPAW — Three home runs fueled Adair during an 8-0 win over Quapaw in the championship game of the Quapaw Tournament here Saturday, Aug. 11.

Miami topped Wyandotte 4-1 in the third-place game.

The loss was the first in five tournament games for the Lady Wildcats (5-3).

They bumped off Ketchum 5-4 and Commerce 7-5 on Thursday, Afton 2-0 on Saturday and Miami 8-1 Saturday.

Unbeaten Adair (8-0) also went 4-0 in pool play with a 6-3 win over Welch, a 9-8 decision over Wyandotte, a 12-1romp over Colcord and an 8-0 victory against Fairland.

The Lady Warriors’ Alli Primeaux struck out eight and allowed only two hits, a first-inning single by Jenni Jennings and a fifth inning single by Rebecca Morgan.

Katy Huffman accounted for two of the Lady Warriors’ three home runs.

She had a two-run shot to left-center in the first inning then added a solo homer to left in the fifth.

Lexi Patrick homered in the fourth inning.

She ended the game with an RBI single.

Sayge Vickery contributed two singles and Kyla Rogers, Primeaux and Kylie Burgess each had a single.

Thursday’s pool play results included Welch 12, Colcord 3; Fairland 8, Colcord 4; Adair 6, Welch 3; Adair 9, Wyandotte 8; Ketchum 12, Afton 11; Quapaw 5, Ketchum 4; Commerce 3, Afton 1, and Quapaw 7, Commerce 5

Then on Friday, it was Commerce 11, Ketchum 0; Miami 18, Ketchum 0; Miami 10, Afton 1; Adair 12, Colcord 1; Quapaw 2, Afton 0; Wyandotte 16, Colcord 0; Welch 18, Fairland 3, and Wyandotte 7, Fairland 1.

There were a final four pool games on Saturday: Quapaw 8, Miami 1; Adair 8, Fairland 0; Miami 9, Commerce 1, and Wyandotte 3, Welch 2.
