MIAMI — Not only did Dena Ander lose her shoe store that dates back to the 1930s in a fire early Tuesday morning, she lost an extensive collection of Oklahoma City Thunder memorabilia.

Among the items lost were shoes autographed by Kevin Durant and a Thunder jersey with her name and the number 100, commemorating her 100th birthday.

Ander, 103, has not missed a televised Thunder game since the team moved to Oklahoma City 10 seasons ago.

To help her get her collection started again, Debbie East, captain of the Blue Alliance-Miami chapter, dropped several items off at Ander’s house Wednesday, July 11.

“She was thrilled and told me to tell everyone ‘thank you,’” East said.

Those wishing to help add to the collection can reach East by email at debraeast@gmail.com.

Items also can be dropped off at the Dobson Museum, 110 A SW.
