FAIRLAND — Bryson Cottrell, a senior at Fairland High School, has been named to the Oklahoma Coaches Association all-state golf Boys East team.

Cottrell finished 16th at the Class 2A state tournament at the Lake Hefner North Golf Course in Oklahoma City.

He had rounds of 83, 80 and 75 for a 238 total.

His 75 was the third lowest over the final 18 holes.

Others named to the East all-state team were Carlos Gomez, Union; Austin Enzbrenner, Owasso; Jax Johnson, Owass0; Logan Meehan, Coweta; Matthew Braley, Tulsa Cascia Hall; Ryan Ward, Poteau; Colin Broermann, Oklahoma City Holland Hall; Jayden Jackson, Idabel; Reagan Streck, Tulsa Lincoln Christian; Jace Weatherly, Wewoka, and Jared Strathe, Owasso.

Cottrell, Streck and Weatherly were the only players from 2A schools named to the 12-man team.

The tournament is scheduled for Monday, July 23 at Cherokee Hills Golf Club in Catoosa.
