KETCHUM — A nine-run second inning helped fourth-ranked Ketchum breeze past Welch 15-1 here Monday, April 2.

The Wildcats (5-14) got their only run in the top of the first inning.

Ketchum (13-1) sent 12 batters to the plate in the second inning then added one in the third and a final three runs in the fourth.

Gunner Johnson had a double and single for the Wildcats’ only hits.

Both of Welch’s hits came off Warrior starting pitcher. He had nine strikeouts and four walks over four innings.

Troy Altom worked the final inning.

Colten Johnson had two doubles and a single for Ketchum, which also got two doubles from Noah Edwards and two singles from Hunter Chandler.
