SOUTH COFFEYVILLE — Welch collected 22 hits, including 11 for extra bases as the Lady Wildcat crushed South Coffeyville 19-0 in a slow-pitch softball game here Friday, March 9.

Sending 16 batters to the plate in their first at-bat, the Lady Wildcats exploded for 13 runs, collecting 15 of their hits.

The salvo included a two-run homer by Brennae Perkins, a two-run triple by Taylor Foust and a two-run double by Olivia Pitcher.

Olivia Chenoweth delivered an RBI triple, Jessie Pitcher an RBI double and Maddi Schaper, Ashlee Morgan and Madisen Horten each had an RBI single.

A run also scored when a fly ball by Halle Rupert was misplayed.

Olivia Pitcher and Perkins were 3-for-3 with a homer, double and single.

Chenoweth delivered a triple and double and Foust added a triple and single. Morgan doubled and singled.

Jessie Pitcher picked up two doubles, Horton, Schaper and Alex Arnold, two singles; Rupert, a double, and Emily Piercefield, a single.

Horten had no strikeouts or walks but allowed only one hit — a first-inning, and one baserunner.
