OKLAHOMA CITY — Cooper Stone of Miami went 1-2 during the Class 4A state wrestling tournament Friday, Feb. 23.

Stone opened the tournament with a 16-9 major decision over Kyler Damron of Harrah in a 132-pound wrestle-in match Friday morning.

Stone qualified for the state tournament by placing fifth in the East Regional.

Damron was the fourth-place finisher on the west side.

Jaylon Otero of Catoosa chalked up a 10-4 decision over Stone in the quarterfinals.

He was eliminated in a first-round consolation match by Logan Farrell of Tuttle.

Farrell logged an 18-6 major decision.

Stone’s teammate — and brother — Ian Stone failed to make weight for the tournament by one ounce.
