COPAN — Bluejacket picked up a pair of lopsided wins Monday, Dec. 4, in the first round of the Copan Tournament.

The Lady Chieftains rolled 56-13 while the BHS boys notched a 71-23 win in games against Shidler.

Boys

Three players scored in double figures for Bluejacket, which led 23-12 after one.

The Chieftains turned the game into a rout with a 26-6 run in the second period.

Things didn’t get any easier for Shidler in the second half as it scored three points in the third and two in the fourth.

Ryder Blackfox had a game-high 21 for Bluejacket, which also received 16 from Justin Pape and 11 from Johnny Estes.

Gabe Arrevillagas and Cooper Decker added eight apiece, Coy McGlasson hit three each and Gabe Satterwhite and Zayden Hatzenbuehler added two each.

Robertson’s 11 points led the way for Shidler.

The Lady Chieftains followed up a scoreless first quarter by allowing only six in the second.

Shidler then scored only seven points total over the next two quarters.

Bluejacket led 24-0 after one, 36-6 at the half and 51-10 heading into the final stanza.

Three players were in double figures for the Lady Chieftains, topped by Shelbie Baker’s 15 points.

Lydia Pipins had 12 and Laura Collins scored 10.

Abby Brewster contributed five points, followed by Lea Hency and Lexi Winfrey, four each; Dee Dee Satterwhite, three; Emily Chandler, two, and Jaci Mitchell one.
