COLCORD — Colcord swept a pair of Lucky 7 Conference basketball games against Quapaw here Tuesday, Nov. 28.

The Lady Wildcats suffered a 36-18 loss before the QHS boys dropped a 47-37 decision.

Girls

Colcord 6, Quapaw 18

The hosts took charge with an 18-3 advantage in the second quarter. That gave the Lady Hornets a 28-8 advantage.

Colcord (1-0) continued to pull away in the second half thanks to 13-10 and 5-0 runs.

Skyler Evans headed up the Quapaw (0-2) scoring with 10 points.

Mya Nichols tallied five points while Chloe Tyner and Karissa Anderson contributed two and one.

Jennifer Martin’s 13 points head up the scoring for the Lady Hornets.

Boys

Colcord 47, Quapaw 37

A 16-8 edge in the third quarter helped the Hornets hold off Quapaw.

Colcord had a 13-4 lead in the first quarter, but the Wildcats trimmed that to seven by intermission.

The hosts were up by 15 heading into the final stanza, when Quapaw held a 16-11 edge.

Jonas Gregory had 15 points to head up the scoring for the Cats.

Chris Durbin contributed eight points, followed by Kaleb Hoffman with five, Kai Anderson and Drayven Blunk with three each, Matt Lovell with two and Jordan Carolus with one.

Spencer Earp had 15 and Dustin Foreman 13 for Colcord.
