ADAIR — Collecting eight extra-base hits, 3A No. 9 Adair coasted to a 15-5 victory over Wyandotte Monday, Sept. 25, in a pre-regional tune-up for both teams.

Wyandotte (22-11) faces Lucky 7 Conference rival Fairland at noon in a Class 2A regional at Fairland on Thursday, Sept. 28.

Adair (22-8) squares off against Antlers at 2 p.m. Thursday in a 3A regional at Prague.

The Lady Bears jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the first but Adair took charge by scoring eight times in the second and five in the third.

The Lady Warriors tacked on single runs fifth and sixth.

Aranda Nair collected two doubles and a single for Wyandotte, which also got a double and single from Ally Bartley.

Makinze Powell doubled and Elizabeth Mensink and Grace Parmley each had a single.

Adair’s 13-hit attack included a triple, double and single from Atleigh Branham.

Rylie Looney had two doubles and Allison Primeaux chipped in with a double and single.

Rhett Looney, Sayge Vickrey and Lauren Booth each had a double.

Mensink allowed 12 hits over 3.2 innings in the circle. She struck out two and walked five.

Nair worked the final 2.1 innings, allowing one hit and three runs. She walked four.
