MIAMI — Snapping an eight-match winning streak, Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College sustained a 3-2 loss in a volleyball match Monday night, Sept. 18, to No. 6 ranked Coffeyville (Kansas) Community College in the Glen Wolfe Student Activity Center.
After dropping a 25-15 decision in the first game, the Lady Norse (8-2) reeled off consecutive 25-14 and 25-20 victories to take the lead in the best-of-five match.
The Lady Ravens (15-1) rallied to win the fourth match by a 25-12 score before posting a 15-12 victory in the fifth match.
NEO began a four-match homestand last Saturday with a 3-2 victory over the Lakers of Metropolitan Community College-Longview from Lees Summit, Missouri.
The Lakers (9-6) earned a 30-28 win in the first game before capturing a 25-23 victory in the second contest.
Come from behind wins of 25-23 and 25-19 by the Lady Norse created a tie through four games. NEO won the match with a 15-10 victory in the fifth game.
Remaining in the Glen Wolfe Activity Center at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22, the Lady Norse entertain St. Louis (Missouri) Community College. The Archers are 3-7 on the year.
