KETCHUM — Afton started and ended a 14-3 fast-pitch softball win over Ketchum here Thursday, Sept. 14.

The Lady Eagles sent 12 batters to the plate during a six-run first and 13 in the fifth when they scored eight more.

Ketchum got all three of its runs in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Winning pitcher Taylie Burrow had five strikeouts, one hit batter and two hits.

Burrow hit the first batter she faced then retired nine in a row.

Carlee Shinn went 3-for-4 with two doubles and three RBIs. She also stole three bases.

Layne Hudson added three singles and two RBIs.

Others with hits for Afton were Ragan Hudson, a single and double; Burrow, a double, and Sabrina Betz, a single.
