SALINA — Doing the bulk of the damage in the final three innings, Fairland rolled to an 11-4 fast-pitch softball victory over Salina here Monday, Sept. 11.

The eighth-ranked Lady Owls carried a 4-2 lead into the fifth, when they scored three times.

They pushed across a single tally in the sixth then scored a final three in the seventh.

Fairland (21-5) collected 14 hits and played around three errors.

Nikki Dingle had a season-best 16 strikeouts, running her season total to 177 over 26 games.

This was the fifth time she had 11 or more strikeouts in a game.

Dingle walked four and allowed five hits.

Dingle and Kyndall Davis each had three singles.

Alexis McGranahan had a double and single while Madison Stotts added two singles.

Savannah Hutchison, Ashton Mowery, Lilly Triplett and Jenna Morgan chipped in with a single each.

Addi Beck accounted for the bulk of Salina’s offense with two doubles and a single. A. Tanes and Maddie Gardner added singles.
