MIAMI — Miami split District 4A-6 games with Claremore Sequoyah Monday, Sept. 11.
The Lady Wardogs held on for a 2-1 win in the completion of a game suspended in the fourth inning due to the weather at Sequoyah on Aug. 15.
The Lady Eagles then claimed an 8-5 win in the regularly scheduled game on Monday, Sept. 11.
MHS is a 1½ games on Sequoyah in the win column. The Lady Wardogs are 13-5 overall and 6-3 in 4A-6 play while Sequoyah is 16-10 and 5-3.

Both of Miami’s runs came in the third inning when a ball hit by Jordan Davis was misplayed.
Jessie Ishmael had walked and Rebecca Bell singled.
The Lady Eagles cut the lead in half with a run in the fifth and left the bases loaded.
Sequoyah also had a runner at first with none out but Abby Ishmael got three straight popups on the infield.
Bell had two singles while Phoenix Burrow and Lauren Willard each had a base hit.
Abby Ishmael allowed eight hits. She struck out one, walked one and hit one batter.
Sequoyah’s pitcher had 14 strikeouts but walked two. The Lady Eagles also had three errors.

The Lady Eagles were up 3-0 lead through the first three innings.
Miami tied the game with a four-run rally in the fourth thanks to an error on a ball hit by Bell and a two-run triple by Abby Ishmael, who wound up scoring on a passed ball.
Sequoyah scratched out single runs over the next four innings.
The Lady Wardogs’ final run came in the seventh on a single by Ishmael, a double by Davis and a sac fly by Burrow.
Abby Ishmael delivered a triple and single while Davis had a single and double.
Bell, Cori Robison, Jessie Ishmael and Alexa Payne each had a single.
