COMMERCE — A five-run fifth inning helped Wyandotte take charge in a 9-3 victory over Commerce here Monday, Sept. 11.

The Lady Tigers had grabbed a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first only to have Wyandotte rally in the fifth.

A double by Aranda Nair tied the game, then Ally Bartley had a two-run double, Madelyn Branham drove in a run with a grounder and Makinze Powell had an RBI single.

A double by Sunny Crawford and a sac fly to right by River Friel gave the Lady Tigers a pair of runs and cut the gap to 5-3.

However, Wyandotte regained control with a four-run burst in the sixth on an RBI single by Nair, a two-un double by Bartley and an RBI single by Grace Parmley.

Bartley finished with three doubles and Haley Hart added three singles.

Jennelle Lundien contributed two doubles and Nair had a double and single. Parmley and Powell picked up two singles each.

Elizabeth Mensink chipped in with a double.

Morgan Ballard went 4-for-4 with a double for the Lady Tigers.

Crawford doubled and Morgan Connell, Rhyane Hallett, Ashley Barton and Miriam Nino all had a single.

Nair struck out five and walked three while Barton had six strikeouts and three walks.
