SOUTH COFFEYVILLE — A five-run second inning helped Welch roll to a 9-0 fastpitch softball victory over Oklahoma Union Thursday, Aug. 24.

Olivia Pitcher got credit for the win, yielding only two hits while fanning eight and walking three.

A two-run double by Pitcher keyed the Welch second inning rally. Maddison Gilman had an RBI triple, Cheyenne Johns sacrificed in a run and Hailey Haskell singled home a run.

The Lady Wildcats pushed across a run in the fourth and added a final three in the fifth.

Gilman collected a triple and two singles with three RBIs while Haskell and Maddison Horton had three singles each.

Pitcher had two doubles with four RBIs, Olivia Chenoweth delivered two doubles and Brennae Perkins added a double and single.

Johns chipped in with a single.

Oklahoma Union’s only hits were doubles by Hewitt and Lanning.
