COLCORD — Scoring runs in every inning, Commerce rolled to a 14-2 fastpitch softball victory over Colcord here Thursday, Aug. 24.

The Lady Tigers set the tone early, scoring three times in the first inning.

They added another four in the second and one in the third. Colcord got its two runs in the bottom of the third to cut the gap to 8-2.

The Lady Tigers continued to pull away, getting five runs in the fourth and a final tally in the sixth.

Commerce’s offensive attack included 14 singles.

Cali Wells had three,

Morgan Connell, Marisa Scott, Morgan Ballard and Miriam Nino added two each and Rhyane Hallett, River Friel and Ashley Barton chipped in with a single each.

Winning pitcher Ashley Barton struck out two and walked none while limiting Colcord to three hits.

Summer Tuell had a triple while Kailee Fowler and Kaylee Potter added singles for the Lady Hornets.
