WYANDOTTE — Fairland bumped its record to 11-0 with an 11-2 victory over Wyandotte here Monday, Aug. 21.

Wyandotte had grabbed a 1-0 lead in the second inning, but Fairland grabbed a 3-1 lead in the top of the fourth.

The Lady Bears (7-5) got back to within a run in the home half of the fourth, but Fairland added runs in the fifth and sixth.

The 2A No. 6 Lady Owls broke the game open in the top of the seventh with a six-run rally.

An error on a ball hit by Savannah Hutchison gave Fairland its sixth run, then a fielder’s choice by Chelsey Dushane made it 7-2.

Tori Barker and Jenna Morgan drilled RBI singles, then two runs scored when a grounder by Kyndall Davis was misplayed.

Wyandotte, ranked 18th in 2A, put together a two-out rally in the top of the seventh when Ally Bartley and Madelyn Branham was hit by a pitch.

The game ended when pitcher Nikki Dingle got a strikeout on a full count.

Dingle had 12 strikeouts and walked two while limiting Wyandotte to seven hits.

Dingle headed up the Lady Owl offense with three singles while Hutchison added a double and single.

Davis, Madison Stotts, Barker and Jenna Morgan each had a single.

Aranda Nair fanned 12 and walked one in her first pitching appearance of the season.

Grace Parmley had a double and single for Wyandotte

Bartley and Makinze Powell chipped in with two singles each and Elizabeth Mensink doubled.
