MIAMI — A new wrinkle has been added to the Run The United Way 5K slated for Saturday, Sept. 9.
To boost corporate participation, the business with the most runners — employers and employees — will receive a plaque during the awards ceremony.
The run begins at 8 a.m. Registration and check-in is from 6:45 to 7:45 a.m. on East Central Avenue just east of Main Street.
The start of the race will be behind First National Bank at Central Avenue.
The finish line will be in front of the First National parking lot on Main Street.
There will be a nutrition and hydration table available for participants.
Awards will be presented to the top three overall male and female runners.
There will be seven age groups: 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60 and over.
The registration fee is $25 if received by Aug. 31 and $30 if received after that date.
T-shirts are guaranteed for those who register before Aug. 31.
Checks should be made payable to Ottawa County United Way.
The chip time sponsor is Integris Miami Hospital.
