MIAMI — Twelve championship bracket games will be played in Miami on Friday, July 21, and Saturday, July 22, as part of the 2017 Premier Baseball Junior Championship.

Each of the 46 teams played three pool games on Wednesday, July 19, and Thursday, July 20, then teams were divided into a 32-team championship pool and a 14-team consolation pool.

Those in the championship pool will decide who moves into the quarterfinal round at 7:30 p.m. Saturday night.

Championship games will be at Joe Becker Stadium, MSSU’s Warren Turner Field, Joplin High School and Baxter Springs Field of Dreams.

Those winners advance to semifinal games Sunday morning at Joe Becker. The championship game will be at 2 p.m.

quarterfinals will be at 7:30 p.m. at The consolation semifinals will be at 9 and 11:30 a.m. with the consolation final at 2 p.m. at Turner Field.

Friday’s schedule at Joe Pollock Field/Miami Stadium include Twelve White vs. Austin Wings Red, 9:30 a.m.; Allen Baseball vs. Arlington A’s Biggins, noon; Twelve White vs. Arlington A’s Biggins, 2:30 p.m., and Allen Baseball vs. Austin Wings Red, 5 p.m.

Then on Saturday at Pollock Field it will be Arkansas Prospects Stroth vs. Beaumont Gladiators, 9:30 a.m., and ST Sliders Orange vs. Southern Angels, noon.

The Friday schedule at Homa Thomas Field includes St. Louis Prospects Scout vs. SA Angels, 9:30 a.m.; Bayside Yankees vs. Arlington A’s Acton, noon; St. Louis Prospects Scout vs. Arlington A’s Acton, 2:30 p.m., and Bayside Yankees vs. SA Angels, 5 p.m.

Only two games were played in Miami Thursday, both at Thomas Field: Fort Worth Cats 5, Houston Kyle Chapman 2, and Dallas Mustangs Randle 7, Building Champions White 3.
