VINITA — The Miami girl’s 4x100-meter relay team finished first during a high school track meet here Tuesday, April 18.

Qimeng Li, Abby Ishmael, Emie Haile and Rebecca Bell teamed up on a winning time of 50.64 seconds in the 4x100 relay.

The same four ran on the Lady Wardogs’ 4x200 relay team that finished third at 1:49.41.

Bell was second and Li sixth in the 200-meter dash with times of 25.78 and 27.43 seconds, respectively.

Haile finished fifth in the 100 at 13.08 seconds.

Daylee Osburn of Afton placed second in the 100 at 12.78 seconds.

The Lady Eagles were sixth in the 4x100 relay at 52.35 seconds.

Welch had two individual placers: Jaci Clinton in the 3,200 (13:55.09) and Jaeli Jorgenson in the long jump (14-10).

Miami wound up sixth in the girls’ standings with 43 points, Afton was 15th with 10 and Welch 18th with six points.

The best individual finish for the Miami boys came from Daniel Allen, who was fifth in the shot put at 44-0.5.

Afton’s boys won the 4x400 relay with a time of 3:31.53 and sixth in the 4x100 relay at 44.82 seconds.

Wil Amos of Afton was second in the 400 at 50.06 seconds and sixth in the 2000 at 22.98.

The Eagles’ Gunner Hudson was third in the high jump at 6-2.

Afton placed 10th in the team standings with 37 points. Miami was 21st with two. Tulsa Central won the boys’ title with 91 points and Wagoner was second with 72.
