FAIRLAND — Fairland split slow pitch softball games with Oaks and Colcord Tuesday
The Lady Owls topped Oaks 6-0 but suffered a 5-4 loss to Colcord.
Lilly Triplett blanked Oaks on two hits. She had three strikeouts over six innings.
Fairland scored two runs in the first, added two more in the second then pushed across single runs in the third and fourth.
Kyndall Davis had a double and two singles while Savannah Hutchison collected a triple and single for the Lady Owls.
Nikki Dingle and Ashton Mowery each had a single.
Colcord 5, Fairland 4
Colcord got what turned out to be the winning run in the bottom of the sixth.
The Lady Owls trailed 5-3 heading into the top of the seventh when the got a run.
They also had a runner at second with one out, but had the next two batters retired on popups.
Davis, Kaylee Schumacher and Triplett had two singles each while Dingle and Hutchison each had a base hit.
Colcord got a triple and single from Summer Tuell and two singles from Kailee Fowler.
