WYANDOTTE — Braxton Douthit reached double figures in strikeouts for the third time this season when Wyandotte rolled to an 8-0 win over Adair here Monday.

Douthit fanned 11 and walked one while helping the 2A No. 7 Bears pick up their 16th win.

Douthit had 13 against Sallisaw Central then came back in his next outing to log 12 against Seneca.

Adair managed only three hits against Douthit.

Matt Skelton, Bubba Kerr and Cooper Clayton each had a single.

The Warriors left only five runners stranded.

Their only other runner came when Bryce Martin reached on a fielder’s choice that erased Kerr in the second. That also was Adair’s only real scoring chance.

The Bears broke out to a 2-0 lead in the second then added four in the fourth.

They created the final margin with two runs in the fifth.

Douthit helped himself at the plate by collecting a triple and single with an RBI.

Carson Loncarich had two singles. Tristan Frazier tripled and Brandon Brown and Ryan Cooper added singles.

Wyandotte hosted Welch Tuesday and travels to Ketchum Saturday.
