CHELSEA — The Fairland girls finished second among 25 teams at a track meet hosted by Chelsea High School.

The Lady Owls, with one relay and two individual wins, rolled up 102 points.

Kathleen Schertz was a triple winner for Fairland. She won the 800 and 1,600 and anchored the Lady Owls’ 4x400-meter relay team. Schertz had winning times of 2:36.28 and 6:09.17 in the 800 and 1,600, respectively.

She teamed with Jessica Roberts, Kyndall Davis and Emily Bryant on the 4x400 relay. Their time was 4:38.46.

Jenna Morgan was fifth in the discus at 80-8 and sixth in the shot put at 28-9.

Schertz also was third in the 3,200 relay with a time of 13:14.0.

Jessica Roberts was second in the 400 at 1:04.63 and 100 hurdles, 17.12 seconds, then was fourth in the 300 hurdles at 51.98 seconds.

Davis was a four-event placer. She was on the winning 4x400 relay, second in the high jump (4-10), third in the long jump (13-7) and ran a leg on the Lady Owls’ fourth-place 4x100 relay team.

Georgia Jones, Kaylee Schumacher, Dingle and Davis had a time of 56.85 seconds.

Carly Mahurin, Dingle, Jones and Kaylee Schumacher were sixth in the 4x200 relay at 2:05.0.
