CHOUTEAU — An 18-hit attack helped Wyandotte chalk up a 3-1 victory over Chouteau here Thursday.

The Lady Bears (12-5) were up 2-0 until the fifth, when Chouteau got its run.

Wyandotte got an insurance run in the seventh.

The Lady Bears stranded 10 runners. They left the bases loaded in the first and had a runner at third in the fifth.

Makenzie Powell had a double and two singles while Lynnea Cox collected three singles for Wyandotte.

Grace Parmley chipped in with a double and single while Tarrah Stephens, Micah Wendelken, Katie Hart and Maddie Branham all had two singles each.

Kylee Severs and winning pitcher Amber Garrett each had a hit.

Garrett had a three-hit shutout — her second of the season — for the Lady Bears.

Wyandotte put together back-to-back five-run bursts in the first and second innings. It capped things with a two-run fourth.

Wendelken contributed two doubles and a single, Branham doubled and singled and Powell added two singles.

Hart had a home run in the first and Cox added one in the second.

Parmley doubled and Stephens singled for the Lady Bears.
