SALLISAW — Wyandotte posted a pair of impressive wins Friday during the Sallisaw Central Festival.
The Bears topped 4A Roland 4-3 then blasted 2A No. 11 Central 6-0.
Saturday's game against 2A No. 2 Oktaha was cancelled due to the weather.
Trailing 1-0, the Bears got all four of their runs against Roland in the fourth inning on a bunt single by Jordon Burney and a bases-loaded triple by Tristan Frazier.
The Rangers scored twice in the sixth
Devan McLoud, who had slammed the door in the sixth with back-to-back strikeouts, retired three of the four batters he faced in the seventh.
He worked five innings in relief of Carson Loncarich.
McLoud fanned seven and walked three while yielding five hits.
Loncarich fanned two and allowed one hit before turning things over to McLoud.
Frazier had two singles to go with his triple. Burney added a single.
Wyandotte 6, Central 0
Braxton Douthit had a complete-game performance, fanning 13 while walking one.
Central managed only four hits off Douthit.
Wyandotte picked up two runs in the first frame on a homer to left by Douthit and tacked on another in the second.
The Bears got a final three in the seventh.
Ryan Cooper and Burney had two singles each and McLoud and Dalton Newman each had a single.
