MIAMI — The Will Rogers Middle School seventh-grade girls closed out their season on a winning note Thursday night, rolling to a 37-21 victory over Claremore Sequoyah.

The Lady Wardogs finish with an 8-7 record. They were 6-4 in the Verdigris Valley North.

Will Rogers jumped out 15-3 in the first quarter then carried a 22-12 lead into the half.

The Lady Wardogs held a 9-2 advantage into the fourth quarter.

Scout Mayfield had 10 points to lead the WRMS scoring.

Kaylee Johnson and Hannah Hardcastle scored six each, followed by Makyna Jones with four, Kylee Jinks and Katie Convirs with here each, Halle Panter and Darci Edmondson with two each and Justus Barley with one.
