MIAMI — Daniel Allen will represent Miami in the annual Oklahoma Coaches Association all-state football game.

Allen was selected to the East squad as an offensive lineman.

“Daniel is a quality young man; the kind of athlete all coaches want,” former Miami coach James Cheatham said. “He was very coachable and would run through a brick wall for his teammates.”

Allen is the only player from northeastern Oklahoma to be honored this year, but is one of five players from District 4A-3 that were selected.

The others were Rush O’Connor of Oologah, wide receiver; Orlandis Roberson of Wagoner, offensive line; and Malcolm Rodriguez of Wagoner and Drake Barnes of Oologah, defensive secondary.

Other named to the all-state team as offensive linemen were Chaz Jimerson of Tahlequah, Christian Maier of Muskogee, Hagen Meservy of Jenks, Trevor Trowbridge of Talihina and Moses Williams of Stroud.

B.J. Bradbury of Adair was one of three quarterbacks selected.

Others include Tanner Griffin, Bixby and Jacob Bailey, Berryhill.

The running backs were Reed Martin of Tulsa Lincoln Christian, Terron Moses, Vian, and Cole Crum, Weleetka.

Others selected as wide receivers were A.J. Archambo, Bartlesville; England Honeybuss, Cushing and Troy Walker, Berryhill.

Shawnee’s Creed Humphrey was selected as the East center.

Austin Neuhauser of Jenks is the kicker.

Defensive linemen picked were Ryan Patrick, Tulsa Kelley; Devon Bajek, Union; Brendon Evans, Bixby; Garrett Flannery, Lincoln Christian; Delvin Jordan, Sand Springs and Cade Harelson, Davenport.

Six linebackers were selected: Levi Draper, Collinsville; Matt Smith, Kelley; Tack Murray, Okemah; Brandon Billups, Victory Christian; Tanner McElyea, Hominy, and Hunter Perry, Rejoice Christian.

Rodriguez, an Oklahoma State commit, was picked as a defensive back along with Barnes, Zaven Collins, Hominy; Cameron Curl, Muskogee; Jordan Starks, Union, and Shae Garner, Skiatook.

Collins, a Tulsa commit, gave Afton fits during Hominy’s Class A semifinal game at Owasso. Collins rushed for 223 yards and four touchdowns in the Bucks’ 43-15 win.

Crum and Harralson are the eight-man representatives on the East 11-man team.

Both have been selected to the Oklahoma Eight Man Football Coaches Association all-star game which will be played in Miami on June 17.
