Mildred Maxine Frisbie of Miami died Friday, Oct. 3, 2008, at Integris Baptist Regional Health Center in Miami. She was 80.

Mrs. Frisbie was born July 7, 1928, in Miami to Robert Henderson and Lou Ella (Pound) Dickson. She had lived in Miami since 1986, moving from Virginia.

She had worked for the National Wildlife Federation in Virginia. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Miami.

She married Jack Frisbie on July 23, 1946. He preceded her in death on Jan. 12, 2007. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Louise Drake.

Survivors include a son, Timothy Marcus Frisbie and his wife Vickie of Belton, Mo.; a sister, Loletta Schoenhals of Miami; three grandchildren, Jason Frisbie and his wife Sonja, Myra Holt and her husband Dwayne and Corey Simmerok, and two great-grandchildren, Ethan Mills and Seth Mills.

Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami. Burial will be in G.A.R. Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
