Melanie Baldwin Harrison of Broken Arrow died Sunday, July 27, 2008, at Zale Lipshy Hospital in Dallas. She was 42.
Mrs. Harrison was born Sept. 27, 1965, in Baxter Springs, Kan. She graduated from Miami High School in 1983. She had lived in the Tulsa, Broken Arrow area for 22 years. She was a homemaker.
She married Doug Harrison of rural Miami on Oct. 17, 1983. He survives, of the home.
Mrs. Harrison was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lloyd and Emma Forson and Louise Baldwin.
Additional survivors include two sons, Tyler Wade Harrison and Ryan Scott Harrison of the home; her parents, Kenneth and Mary Baldwin of Miami; a sister, Kimberly Baldwin Bui of Los Angeles; three stepbrothers, Kenneth Baldwin Jr. of Sherman Oaks, Calif., Mark Baldwin of Miami and Bruce Baldwin of Pittsburg, Kan., and a stepsister, Marcia Gardner of Louisburg, Kan.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Southpark Community Church in Tulsa. The Rev. Randy Scott will officiate. Interment will be in Floral Haven Cemetery in Broken Arrow.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami. Visitation will also be held at 1 p.m. Thursday until service time at the Southpark Community Church.
