Edmund J. Yankowski of Cardin passed away Thursday, May 3, 2007, at Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, Mo. He was 61.
He was born Oct. 2, 1945, to Edmund and Louise (Green) Yankowski in Auburn, Wash.
He served with the Army reserves.
He worked for Tracker Marine in Miami.
He had lived in the Cardin area all of his life.
He married Mary Ragsdale on Jan. 27, 1966, in Columbus, Kan. She survives, of the home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edmund and Louise Yankowski, and one sister, Lou Ann Barrett.
Additional survivors include one son, Ronnie Yankowski of Cardin; one daughter, Lana Ellick and her husband Shawn of Quapaw; four grandchildren, Nathan and Kori Yankowski of Ainsworth, Neb., and Chayton and Billie Ellick of Quapaw, and one brother, Ron Yankowski of St. Louis.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. today at G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami with the Rev. Bill Richey officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Picher.
