Arthur W. Corn of Miami died Monday, June 11, 2007, at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin, Mo. He was 91.
Mr. Corn was born Aug. 15, 1915, in Welch to James A. and Lela E. (McNelis) Corn. He graduated from Welch High School with the class of 1935.
He was a World War II veteran of the Army, serving from December 1940 to August 1945.
He worked for Neil Cattle Company for many years. He was an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars
Survivors include one brother, Denzil Corn of Miami; two sisters, Naomi Arnold and Anna Jo Arnold, both of Miami; five nieces and six nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Thomas Funeral Home in Welch with the Rev. James Shope officiating. Burial will be in Walker Cemetery, west of Welch.
Pallbearers will be Daymond McGaughey, Brad Corn, Stan Corn, Ronnie Arnold, Merlin Arnold and Dean Arnold. Honorary pallbearers will be Senior Horner, Larry Foust and Larry Rupert.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
