Francine Bea Cochran of Seneca, Mo., died Monday, Sept. 29, 2008, at Eastwood Manor Nursing Home after an illness. She was 64.

Mrs. Cochran was born Sept. 14, 1944, in Wichita, Kan., to Kenneth and Francis (Wells) Zook. She lived in Seneca for 17 years, moving from Quapaw.

She was a certified nurse's aide and a certified medical assistant; an activity director at Baxter Springs (Kan.) Nursing Home; manager of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Neodesha, Kan., and manager of the Eagles Club in Fredonia, Kan. She was of the Catholic faith.

She married Karl Cochran. He survives, of the home.

Additional survivors include two sons, Kenneth Shepherd and wife Gina of Miami and Walter Shepherd of Oklahoma City; two daughters and their husbands, Regina and Bruce Lawrence of North Miami and Tina and Dave Sprague of Oklahoma City; one brother, Wendell Davis of Marynton, Ark.; one sister, Twyla Boyer of Hamilton, Kan., 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her father, Sterling Davis; two brothers, Glenn Davis and Bruce Davis, and one grandson, Levi Gene VanGotten.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Gazebo in G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami. The Rev. Rick Adams will officiate.
