Judy Kay Jones of Miami, Okla., passed away Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008, at St. John's Medical Center in Tulsa, Okla., after a sudden illness. She was 65 years old.
Judy was born Nov. 8, 1942, in Rock Island, Ill., to Keith and Mary Pauline (Hiller) Cramer. She was a graduate of Rock Island High School.
On May 26, 2000, she married Junior Jones at Cornerstone Baptist Church, south of Welch. The couple lived in the Bluejacket area before moving to Miami.
Judy had a love for music and was very talented in playing the steel guitar and singing. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, finding great joy in her grandchildren. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Vinita.
Judy is lovingly survived by her husband, Junior; her mother, Mary Pauline Cramer of Miami, Ok.; two stepsons, Roy Lee Cotter and wife Judy of Crossville, Tenn., and Joe Lee Cotter and wife Patty of Sioux City, Iowa; five sons, Mark Bowling, Keith Bowling and wife Rebecca of Providence, N.C., Mike Cotter and wife Shelley of Columbus, Kan., Jason Jones and wife Amy of Chelsea, Okla., and Jerard Jones and wife Lora of Bluejacket, Okla.; three daughters, Sandra Leone Sutton of Indianola, Iowa, Debbie Fox and husband Harvey of Alaska and Tish Stoelzing and husband Terry of Welch, Okla.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Services were 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008, at the Thomas Funeral Home of Welch, Okla., with Cletus Jones officiating.
Serving as pallbearers were Jerard Jones, Mike Cotter, Terry Stoelzing, Keith Bowling, Jason Jones and Jeff Stoelzing.
Interment is at G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, Okla.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Judy to the Shriners Hospital of North America.
