Former rural Craig County resident, Naomi Jean Arnold, now of Miami, OK, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2012, at Osborne Care and Rehab in Miami. She had just celebrated her 90th birthday.
Naomi was born February 26, 1922 in rural Craig County to James A. and Lela E. (McNelis) Corn. She married Homer Arnold on March 5, 1940. He preceded her in death on August 17, 2000.
She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Arthur Corn and Onie Corn; 1 sister, Bessie Cavanaugh; and 1 granddaughter, Cherie Arnold.
She is survived by 3 sons, Dean Arnold and wife JoAnn of Lahoma, OK, Merlin Arnold, and Ronal Arnold, both of Welch; 6 grandchildren, Brian, Ronnie, Jeff, Clay, Shawn, and April; 10 great grandchildren; 1 great, great-granddaughter; and a host of friends.
There will be a visitation for family and friends prior to service time, at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at the Thomas Funeral Home, Welch.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at the Thomas Funeral Home, Welch. Minister Brad Canham will officiate. Serving as pallbearers will be Clay Arnold, Shawn Arnold, J.D. Whitlock, Shawn Wheeler, Brad Corn, and Stan Corn.
Interment at Walker Cemetery, West of Welch, OK.
