Grover W. Epperson of Commerce passed away June 27, in Vinita, after an illness. He was 81.

He was born Sept. 14, 1928 in Anderson, Mo. to Lon Epperson and Lillie (Mitchell) Epperson.

He married Naomi Jodine Nash, she preceded him in death.

He moved to the Commerce area in 1952 moving from Anderson Mo. He attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church Northwest of Commerce. He was in the Army and a veteran of World War II. He was a carpenter and retired from Eagle-Picher.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Kent Epperson and three brothers

Survivors include: one son, Randy Epperson and wife Freda of Springfield, Mo; one daughter, Mitzi Epperson of Commerce; one sister, Rhoda Schmidt of Anderson, Mo.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren

A Memorial Service will be Wednesday, June 30, at 2 p.m. at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami.
