Peggy Elaine Wheeler of Miami died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2007, at St. John Regional Medical Center in Joplin, Mo., after an illness. She was 64.

Ms. Wheeler was born Sept. 11, 1943, in Fairland to Perry and Irene (Crow) Greninger.

She had lived in Picher most of her life.

She was a homemaker.

Ms. Wheeler was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

Survivors include two sons, Dale Brookshire of Claremore and Charles Max Wheeler of Mena, Ark.; two daughters, Lois Kay Roberts of California and Tammy Lara Wilson of Greenville, Texas; six brothers, Sam Greninger, Kenny Carver and Larry Greninger, all of Beaumont, Texas, Dean Carver of Alabama, Leslie Greninger of Riverton, Kan., and Lonnie Carver of Fairland; three sisters, Connie North of Bluejacket, Kathy Redden of Cardin and Jenny Keeper of Grand Prairie, Texas, and 10 grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Wyandotte Cemetery in Wyandotte with the Rev. Geoff Buffalo officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. Monday at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Picher.
