William Woodrow Ingram of Chetopa, Kan., died Saturday, Aug. 11, 2007, at Chetopa Manor.

He was 89.

Mr. Ingram was born Sept. 2, 1917, in Craig County, west of Welch, to William M. and Elsie (Bryant) Ingram.

He was a World War II veteran serving from February, 1942, to November, 1945.

He was a metal worker for many years. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Chetopa.

Survivors include two sisters, Alma I. Sprouse of Chetopa and Agnes Duncan of Mount Vernon, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Thomas Funeral Home in Welch with pastor Mike Hand officiating.

The body will be cremated and a privage family burial will be held at a later date.

Memorials are suggested to First Christian Church of Chetopa.
