Margarette F. Foust of Welch died Friday, Nov. 9, 2007, at St. John''s Medical Center in Tulsa after an illness. She was 68.

Mrs. Foust was born Sept. 7, 1939, in Ottawa County to Howard and Nova (Stanley) Green. She attended Plateau School and graduated from Welch High School. She earned a nursing degree from Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College in Miami.

She worked as a registered nurse for Eastern State Hospital in Vinita from 1967 until her retirement in 1996. She continued to work at Generations at Integris Baptist Regional Health Center in Miami from 1996 to 1998. In her 29 years of nursing she worked as a nurse's aide, a licensed practical nurse and a registered nurse. She was an active member and served as Matron of Honor of the Eastern Stars.

She married DelRoy Foust on Dec. 30, 1961, in Miami. He survives.

Additional survivors include two sons, DelRoy D. “Dan” Foust Jr. of Tulsa and Christopher R. “Chris” Foust of Welch; one daughter, Teresa Lynn Root of Welch; two sisters, Maxine Foust of Claremore and Shirley Arney of Weatherford, and seven grandchildren, Matthew Foust, Sarah Foust, Blake Arrington, Ashley Arrington, Josh Root, James Root and Robbey Foust.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Bobby Green.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at Welch Baptist Church. The Rev. Bob Whitchurch will officiate. Burial will be in Welch City Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Foust, Blake Arrington, Josh Root, James Root, Gene Foust and Matt Tipton. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Hicks, Steve Willy, Walt Raney, Norris Greer and Joe Dodson.

Arrangements are under the direction of Thomas Funeral Home in Welch.
